The Fighting For Fitness Ltd personal training studio has been opened as an answer to the surprising lack of one to one personal fitness training facilities within the Bucks and Berks area.

At Fighting For Fitness Ltd, Danny Maka, Advanced Personal Trainer and professional boxer, will welcome you into the Secret Studio. Currently each client is invited to take part in a health check and complementary trial session. To date every individual that has tested out the Fighting For Fitness Ltd training experience has pursued one to one training sessions or has brought along a friend or member of the family to enjoy a group session.

Weight Loss and Body Fat Reduction
  • Weight Loss & Body Fat Reduction

I have helped many people to lose a great deal of weight. I prefer to speak in terms of "fat loss" rather than "weight loss". The objective should be to change your body composition so that you have less fat and more muscle.

As muscle weighs more than fat per cubic measurement weight loss alone should not be the sole measure of your success. The important results should be how your body looks, how your clothes fit, and how you feel.

Toning and Building Muscle

A client will often specify that he or she wishes to either "tone" or "build" muscle.

More often than not women look to "tone" while men look to "build". By incorporating weight training (resistance training) techniques I can help you to tone or build muscle in order to improve the shape of your body.

Cardiovascular conditioning
  • Cardiovascular conditioning

Aerobic exercise will be at the core of any weight loss/fat loss program. Aerobic activity is often termed cardiovascular exercise. I encourage all of my clients to perform varying degrees of cardio-vascular training.

The goal here is usually to work in the range of 60-80% of maximum heart rate for 20-30 minutes three times a week. The benefits are numerous and include improved circulation and heart health as well as weight loss.

Many people with back injuries may be told to increase their core strength. The added benefits can also include improved balance and stability, better posture as well as more toned abdominal muscles.

Every client is encouraged to work on their flexibility in an aim to prevent injury and improve mobility.

Sports Injury Rehabilitation

After physiotherapy or hospital treatment, mobility and strengthening work is regularly required to return an individual to full health.

I look to take over where a Physiotherapist leaves off. I have successfully helped to treat many injuries especially those affecting the knee, hip, shoulder and back. Each case is unique, please feel free to call or email to discuss your concerns.

Danny Maka qualified as an Advanced Personal Trainer and Nutritional Advisor with Premier Global in 2006. He has worked within a number of large chain gyms such as Fitness First in Jersey and London working with a wide range of clients focusing on a variety of needs such as injury rehabilitation, sports specific training, obesity and weight loss, fitness training for the forces, to name a few.

Prior to specializing as a Personal Trainer, Danny successfully competed as an amateur boxer for 10 years turning professional in 2008. His experience within professional sports has given him an even stronger drive to succeed and maintain a high level of fitness and health, within himself and his clients.

Many people made it clear that they enjoyed every aspect of their training sessions but one. This was the impersonal and overwhelming atmosphere that they had to train in, in order to train with Danny at the large member’s only gyms.

To give some of his regular clients a chance to get away from this intimidating environment Danny began to train within the clients’ own homes and gardens. As you can imagine the equipment was therefore more limited, and a few individuals did find it a challenge to focus on making the most of their training when they had home comforts and distractions.

After much consideration on how to get the best results out of each session whilst being in a welcoming yet professional environment, Danny had found a niche in the market for purely Personal Training gyms...

Danny started up Fighting For Fitness Ltd Personal Training in 2008 in order to make visits to the gym less of a chore and more of an opportunity to reach goals whilst being in a comfortable and professional environment.

If you would prefer to take away all of the things that people dread when they join a gym; compulsory monthly memberships, large wide mirrors, confusing equipment and intimidating gym buffs, then Fighting For Fitness Ltd is the place for you.

Fighting For Fitness is currently located at the Secret Studio in the heart of the South Bucks countryside. Only a few minutes drive from Beaconsfield, Burnham, Bourne End, Maidenhead and High Wycombe. The M40, M4 and M25 motorways are all very local making it easy to access whether on the way to or from work, or after dropping the kids off at school.

The Secret Studio is a haven away from the busy rush of large gyms and busy changing rooms. In this inviting atmosphere you can switch off and focus all your energy into reaching your goals and over coming challenges that you may have been unable to when training alone.

If you have never experienced a Personal Training session or been to the gym, then Personal Training at the Secret Studio will be a great introduction to a healthier future in an enjoyable way, with fantastic results.
